We are so thrilled to introduce this amazing dancing studio to Changzhou, and its such an honor to work with them. Comparing to tons of dancing studios in town, W. Dance Studio seems more ahead of the game. They offer classes like Zumba, Jazz and Hip-Hop, which are quite popular among celebrities  and you wouldn’t think you can find this type of dance studio in Changzhou.
Our design team have been worked with them since they just signed their lease, which is 3 months ago. Owner Willa gave us lots of trust and space that allowed us to be able to design something exciting.

I think some of you are dying to know the stories behind this brand, and we dig a little bit, and had a interview with  the founder of W. Dance Studio—Willa when she was not dancing. Let’s go ahead and find out!

S: ShineWayDesign    W:Willa

S: First of all, I thinking people are curious about the name? And why?

W: There are two reasons: one is from the word WAVE, which we use a lot for dance moves. Secondly, I personally love the letter W.

S:As the founder of the dance studio, I believe you must love dancing, could you share your dancing experience with us?

W:I Start dancing since university— Communication University of China, and Jazz dance was my elective course. I was so glad that I picked dancing which gave me a space to relax after I got burnt out with my major courses. The feeling after dancing was so enjoyable that it almost felt like having an ice-cream during the hot summer days. I have been dancing since then. After finishing university, I came back to my home town—Changzhou, and got married and had a happy family with two kids. I enjoyed my family time, but I knew deep inside, I still had a passion about dancing. 6 years passed by, one day I saw a street dancing contest in 2018, and it suddenly lighted the fire of dancing. After I contacted my mentor from Beijing who was super supportive, I bought a ticket and went to Beijing. That whole month practice was brutal, since I haven’t been dancing for 6 years, I couldn’t get all the new and trendy moves, meanwhile my body was also not as good as before, but I know with all the efforts I put in, I can get there. In order to create a space for dance lovers like me, and also avoid keeping travel from home to Beijing and be able to take care of my two kids and family, I decide to start my own dance studio in Changzhou.

S: What’s your vision for W. Dance Studio?

W: I feel like I consider all my young members as my kids, I am not expect you will dance like a pro,  but I do wish they will be more confident when they are dancing.I also picture W. Dance Studio as a dream which all of them create with me together.

S: Do you have any advice or experience you want to share with all the dance lovers?

W: When you pursue your dream, you might fail or be successful. But just being consistent and pouring all your loves into it, I think that’s more important.

S: I know that you put mass time and effort in branding design as well as interior design. What’s your thoughts about design?

W: I am a mom, and this is the dance studio I created, and also my dream, so I focus on all the details from logo to all the decor. I have no experience with decor, but I do know all the layouts and design have to be safe and comfortable. I have been with designers days and nights to go through all the details to make it as perfect as it can be.
